While in Yankton we decided we wanted pizza and the consensus was that Charlie's was the best place in town.
After paying $37 for two 12 inch pizzas that were so salty and unappealing that we threw half of it away, I realized why the second favorite answer to the question of where to go for pizza was Walmart or Casey's gas station. Theirs was probably better, and I'll guarantee it was cheaper. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Today we venture north to see what the U.P. has to offer and we'll be checking out the campground in Menominee for our first stop. We traded in our Dodge Ram 250 for a Chevy Silverado 3500 on Thursday past, so it'll be neat to see how it handles towing the fifth wheel. Just driving it without towing the camper we found it to be a quieter, smoother ride.
Linking up to Monday Mural.
Should have gone to Pizza Hut but I doubt it would have had a mural like that. You have a fifth wheel, they make my caravan look tame.
ReplyDeleteIt looks almost as if they are trying too hard to woo people with that mural.
ReplyDeleteI guess the mural is better than the pizza. But what does Marilyn Monroe have to do with pepperoni? I guess they figured it doesn't matter since this is such an iconic and fun image. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteThat is bad to make a nice mural and sell rubbish.
