This morning dawned hot and humid but I went for a short walk anyway. It was in the upper 80's by noon by finally the storms rolled in and for the last hour or more it has looked like this out my window.
Due to the heat earlier and the pouring rain this afternoon I've used today as an opportunity to finally catch up on blog reading for the first time in about two months. Next up is washing the floors, maybe I should just fill my bucket from the puddles in the front lawn?
Luckily I got that garden weeded and fertilized early this year, and my plants do seem happier than the past few years.
But doesn't our poor fifth wheel look so sad sitting in the driveway instead of out on the road? Wayne and Cory will be on their way to Newfoundland in it a month from now so I've started stocking it up with all we'll need for our extended trip. I'm looking forward to seeing the island coast to coast, but I'll have to make it through 5 weeks of Midwestern heat first!
Send that rain over to the west coast!!
ReplyDeleteTrust me I would if I could, you can have the snow too if you want it!
DeleteSigh.....I so wish we'd get some of that! I've forgotten what rain looks like. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great feeling to finally get caught up on blog reading. Rain days come in very handy:) A trip to Newfoundland sounds wonderful! We done all the other Maritines but not Newfoundland.
ReplyDeleteHope the rain cools it off for you. I can just imagine how much you are looking forward to the trip. I SO wanted to go there this year.
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought it rained here, looks like you had ours and more
