Crossville Cultural Mural

Saw this mural in Crossville, Tennessee while I was looking for their post office mural (and yes, I did find that too!).  If you follow the link you can read the great story about how the community pulled together to get it done.


The images reflect the historical, natural and contemporary aspects of Cumberland County.  The artist spoke to a lot of people and used a lot of elements in the work.

The Crab Orchard stone that is a vital part of the county's and city's resources is a durable type of sandstone that has been popular since the 1920's.
