Monona Monday Mural

Finally, Wisconsin is green, and often even warm enough to pitch the tent!

Lake Farm Park - No campfires allowed!

I camped one night in Monona, just minutes from the Capitol in Madison.  I came upon a cool mural nearby on the Well No. 3 building at 6500 Raywood Road called "Water, Land and Sky" that went up just last year.  I only photographed one side but it wraps around the building.

Here is a YouTube 5 minute video link to the project from start to finish. Members of the community from grade school children to high school students, senior citizens and even the mayor participated.  Very interesting how it was accomplished, I highly recommend watching it!

  2. Beautiful mural Pam and how interesting that so many members of the community participated in it's painting.
Interesting to see that it was painted on paper and glue to the wall. The video is very well done and like Iris I also enjoyed the music. Thanks for participating.
