Third Ward Sidewalk Koi Pond

I was so busy looking at the stuff in the windows while strolling through the Third Ward in Milwaukee that I almost stepped on these poor fish who were just minding their own business.

Is it a mural? May be small and on a sidewalk and not a wall,  but is that all it takes to disqualify it?  They brought a smile to my face, hope they bring a smile to yours today.  For more grandiose artwork check out my friends on Monday Mural.

  2. Is that paint or chalk? Hard to tell. The shoes look so real too. ;)

    1. It was paint, but maybe not paint meant to last forever. It was pretty cool.

  3. I love how your shoes are in a matching colour!!
This is a fun way to deal with those berry stains on the sidewalk - make some fish look like they are searching for food.

  6. I would hate to walk on these koi, too. I thought the dark polka dots were part of the composition. Are there more fish swimming in this neighborhood? Could be if they were created by stencils. Usually we all remind ourselves to look up so as not to miss something. Now we have to add "...and look down, too." Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
