As I drove around the state of Wisconsin in October I saw a few Halloween sights that made me smile.
Somewhere in the far, far north of Wisconsin |
Want to set up your whole front yard like a pumpkin farm? Sure, why not?
Seen in Waukesha |
Have a giant cow that would look good in a costume?
Seen in Phillips |
How about a few spare hay bales?
Seen in Ashland |
Our yard featuring dead Batgirl and Batboy |
Our yard decorations were thrown together in a hurry, but still made the point that we were open for Halloween business.
Only in Wisconsin can you get your candy at an ice shack in the yard |
Halloween here is an excuse for Wayne and his friends to hang out in the yard.
We had quite a crowd this year, hard to believe that 13 years ago when we first moved here the doorbell only rang about a dozen times. The demographic has shifted and it's a family neighborhood again.
Even Miss Jewel came outside for awhile, though the giant Pikachu bouncing along seemed to make her nervous! And now next year we'll get to see whether our new address will get trick or treaters - can't wait to find out!
You lot are very creative with your decorations over there
