Here we are in our overnight camping spot in Elkhart, Indiana this morning. Did you guess right about the purpose of our sudden shopping trip? Or did you skip the boring post full of videos and not read to the end? (It's ok if you did, I do it myself on topics that don't interest me!)
On Friday we drove to Tiara RV to try to make a last minute deal before our trip to the Smokies. The trip paid off and we now proudly own the RV that we originally wanted.
Tiara's white truck, our new Mountaineer |
It's a 2010 Montana Mountaineer 324RLQ, newer and prettier than the Laredo we will leave behind today. We are definitely happy campers. Our reasoning was now that we had a truck that could handle more weight, what were we waiting for? As the seasoned RV'ers know, now is the time to buy in the Midwest, prices are great to get that inventory moving before winter sets in. By the way, they have great prices and friendly service here at Tiara RV.
Besides being newer and prettier, the one thing I really wanted this time was a fully separate bath. I hate brushing my teeth and ironing my hair while Wayne is still sleeping with that old sink-in-the-bedroom setup.
We'll be putting our leather recliners inside the new one, but here's a quick pre-move preview of the living area.
I'm hoping we can find a camping spot by Starved Rock State Park in Illinois tonight, more news tomorrow!
Congratulations! It looks like a beauty.
ReplyDeleteReally nice. We chose our fiver with the closed bathroom as we also didn't care for the open sink in the bedroom.
ReplyDeleteHoly smoke! You've really upgraded your rig and tow vehicle!!!
ReplyDeleteBox Canyon Mark
Wow, that is big inside. There will be no "Excuse me, can I get by?" in there.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! There are times that we should just get what our heart's desire
ReplyDeleteI am totally jealous - that is one beauty! Enjoy. I love starved rock - it's one of my favorite places to hike. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks nicer than our house! Congrats on your new RV.
ReplyDeleteMy caravan is 20 foot long and would fit under the awning of your fifth wheel. Have fun
ReplyDeleteWhoooooHoooooo! Look at ALL that space! Bet you can hardly wait to get on the road.
ReplyDeletecongrats on your new rig!! It's a beauty!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Congratulations on your new baby.
ReplyDeleteAs the owner of a small tent, I'm really rather envious of camper vans and caravans (I though an RV was where the vehicle was part of the living area but your's looks like a caravan arrangement). Your RV looks most comfortable - I could live in that let alone just go on holiday in it.
ReplyDeleteNot so sure how well I could park it though or quite how it would deal with the price of petrol over here.
